1. 2017 Taste of Petaluma

Hosted by Cinnabar Theater, the 12th annual Taste of Petaluma features 50 local restaurants, food purveyors, breweries, and wineries serving bites and sips. Stroll through historic downtown and embark on a culinary journey that delights your senses. Breweries will be set up within a dedicated beer garden and wineries will be pouring sips in the shaded backyard of the Petaluma Historical Museum. Live entertainment will be available, and local food authors Frances Rivetti and Laurie Figone will be doing book signings at the Hotel Petaluma from noon to 3 p.m. Kids can decorate cupcakes at Supreme Sweets, while parents can relax with a chair massage in Theater Square. Finally, catch the free Wine Trolley, which will run on a loop through downtown Petaluma, including Theater Square, the Water Street Beer Garden, and the Historical Museum Wine Garden. Visitors with Taste of Petaluma bracelets can hop on and off the trolley at any stop!

2. Cotati Accordion Festival

Explore the wonders of music as the 27th Annual Cotati Accordion Festival holds its first ever “Year of the Woman”. This nonprofit, multi-cultural and multi-generational celebration brings back the street festival ambiance that Cotati is known for while bringing back to the community through its support of Performing Arts programs in the local schools. Take a trip down memory lane as you watch, listen, and tap to the beat of performers like Amy Jo Sawyer, Ginny Mac, Jamie Maschler, Gail Campanella, and Lizzeth Olivo, with visiting virtuosos Tiia Karttunen from Finland and Ljubinka Kulisic from Serbia. Over 70 vendors of food, beer, and wine means unlimited fun for the whole weekend!

3. Sonoma County Blues and Arts Festival

A day long pop-up festival by SOMO concerts, get entranced with nationally acclaimed Sonoma grown blues and a beautifully curated fine art gallery. Featured performers include legendary local living bluesman Charlie Musselwhite, vocalist, guitarist, composer, producer and Santa Rosa High School Alumnus Doyle Bramhall II, Award Winning Bay Area blues vocalist Taylor Collins, and Vallejo-based gospel sensations The Sons of The Soul Revivers. The Juried Art Show is directed by Kathleen McCallum, a long-time North Bay artist, arts advocate, and event producer, and she has helped to incorporate the visual arts into this great Blues Festival. With local food and beverage available from vendors, immerse yourself in this musical experience!
