Now on it's 11th year, this non-profit festival all where proceeds benefit the music education programs in all Petaluma area schools will once again be celebrating at the Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds! Have your fill of the exceptional variety of music for people of all ages, and enjoy fine beers, premium wine tasting, and specialty food, craft, and merchandise vendors. Performing at the 2018 Petaluma Music Festival is the roots and Americana newgrass jam band Railroad Earth, the high-energy, foot-stompin' bluegrass and folk-rock of The Brothers Comatose, the jam band musical legacy of Jerry Garcia with Melvin Seals & JGB, the soul, funk, and blues of singer-songwriter Ron Artis II & The Truth, the old-school throwback rock, gypsy swing, and dance-party soul of Royal Jelly Jive, the country rock and blues of Danny Click & The Hell Yeahs, the hard-driving Americana and folk of The Sam Chase & The Untraditional, and the rich harmonizing folk-rock of the Rainbow Girls. Plus Bay Area favorites: The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men, Afrofunk Experience, La Gente SF, Black Sheep Brass Band, The Mike Saliani Band, Dirty Red Barn, and The Peach Thieves. It's truly a weekend full of great music!

The Sonoma County Fair began in 1936, when local leaders Joseph T. Grace, Ernest Finley, Emil Kraft and V.G. Garrett joined forces to create a race track and exposition center to showcase the abundance of Sonoma County. Now on it's 82nd year, the 2018 celebration presents "Salute to Heroes" with highlights including the Hall of Flowers, award winning arts and crafts, live music, a spectacular carnival, livestock events, and so much more! Enjoy unlimited tastes of over 50 beers and ciders at the NorCal Brew Fest on Saturday, and it's off to the track on Sunday for Wine Country Horse Racing!
