Sonoma Arts Live presents "13: A Musical"

Saturday, March 9, 2019 - 08:30 PM

Sonoma Community Center, The Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall, 276 E. Napa Street, Sonoma, California 95476

Sonoma Arts Live’s Teens ’N Training ensemble presents 13! This high energy musical perfectly distills the myriad trials, angst-filled yearnings, and down-right humiliating experiences of early teen hood into one laugh-out-loud, melodic masterpiece.  Combining the sounds of Motown, 90’s R&B, and foot-stomping rock and roll, 13 is anything but juvenile. Directed by Libby Oberlin.

Spike Heels

Sunday, March 10, 2019 - 02:00 PM

Curtain Call Theatre, 20347 Hwy. 116, Monte Rio, California 95462

Curtain Call Theatre presents Spike Heels, by playwright and novelist Theresa Rebeck. The play explores the modernization of gender roles, sexual power in relationships, and how high heels make a difference. Produced on Broadway in 1992, the story maintains a modern topic in the #MeToo era. Rebeck uses crafty and hilarious storytelling to chronicle the lives of four complicated people. Each person lives in separate turmoil; a four-sided love triangle emerges amongst them. Friends, lovers, and a new acquaintance are put to a relationship test.
