In today's gadget-filled, high tech world, books may often seem like a thing of the past. But as a famous author once said, Books are a uniquely portable magic, and no gadget can ever replace the feel of pages between your hands and the thrill of the smell of paper as you leaf through every page. If you love reading, then you know that it is important to start children early on and kindle their passion at a young age. Not only does it improve literacy, reading also helps fire the imagination and can take your kids to different worlds and different cultures.

Sonoma County libraries feature a number of schedules which promote reading and make them fun and interactive, perfect for young children and toddlers alike!
